Disney Cruise Line has added another fun and luxurious ship to its fleet: the Disney Destiny, the newest Triton-class vessel.
The Disney Destiny officially launched on from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, offering 4- and 5-night cruises to the Bahamas and Western Caribbean, including stops at Disney’s private islands Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay.
If you are already a Disney Cruise Line guest, you know the brand is famous for its storytelling, drawing inspiration from movies, characters, and theme park attractions. The Disney Destiny continues this legacy with a bold and imaginative “Heroes & Villains” theme, blending iconic characters from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars into immersive experiences, just like the existing Disney ships.
The theme and design of the Disney Destiny are striking. The ship’s Grand Hall is inspired by Wakanda, with Spider-Man featured on the stern. Guests can enjoy a Hercules stage musical, a villain-themed AquaMouse water ride, and a Lion King dinner show called Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King.
Staterooms feature hero and villain artwork, including special Incredibles-themed oceanview staterooms. The ship also offers the Iron Man-inspired Destiny Tower Suite, a luxury accommodation at the very top of the vessel.
